- 6-8 carrots
- 1⁄4 cabbage head
- 1⁄2 cucumber
- A piece of ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
A big glass of carrot juice in the morning, a vibrant way to start my day!
Carrot juice whilst low in calories, is very rich in fibre and other vital nutrients. It is known to increase levels of bile secretion which ultimately helps burn more fat, promote eye health, strengthen immunity and reduce stress. Cabbage also loaded in nutrients such antioxidants, vitamins C and K, is reputed to improve gut health, decrease inflammation, balance hormones and promote body detoxification.
Ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly scrubbed and washed under running water
To the extractor
Press all the vegetables into the extractor. Add 2 ice cubes to a glass and pour the juice over it. Add the finely ground black pepper and enjoy.
To the blender
Cut the carrots and cucumber into bite-size pieces place them in a blender with some water and blend well. Add the cabbage, ginger and pepper blend once again. If you wish to reduce the amount of fibre (pulp) pass the juice through a strainer before serving. This juice should be consumed immediately.
